About Me

My name is Wyatt Hendrie and I am a current professional baseball player in the Pittsburgh organization. Through thousands of innings caught in my life I have developed a deep passion for the art of catching and the intricacies of developing as a catcher.  My goal is to share my experience, the lessons I have learned and be the mentor that I wish I had.

Personal Catching Development

Our catcher development program is built on the foundation of elite athletic performance and attention to detail. We focus on developing complete catchers through speed, strength, throwing mechanics, precise footwork, and arm strength. Each session is designed to enhance quickness, efficiency, and power behind the plate—building catchers who move with confidence, throw with intent, and perform with consistency at every level of the game.

Organizations I work with

I’m proud to work with a wide range of organizations dedicated to developing strong, confident, and skilled baseball catchers. My coaching focuses on age-appropriate fundamentals, advanced catching techniques, and game awareness.

Youth Baseball Programs

I partner with local youth leagues and community programs to help young catchers build a strong foundation. Sessions emphasize:

  • Proper receiving and blocking mechanics

  • Throwing footwork and accuracy

  • Confidence behind the plate

Travel & Club Baseball Teams

I work with competitive travel and club organizations to support catchers playing at higher levels. Training includes:

  • Advanced defensive skills

  • Pitcher–catcher communication

  • Game management and leadership

Middle School & High School Programs

I collaborate with school programs to complement team practices and help catchers prepare for game situations, tryouts, and season play.

Training Facilities & Academies

I partner with baseball facilities and performance academies to provide specialized catching instruction, small-group training, and clinics.

Camps & Clinics

I am currently working on setting up clinics in my local area and will soon be offering online programs.
